Due to a collision involving the China-registered bulk carrier Hai Li 5 and the Singapore-registered container ship Wan Hai A17 near the port area of Guangzhou, China on 25 October 2025 at around 8 PM local time, normal passage for ocean-going vessels has been temporarily affected.

This incident has disrupted port operations and caused unloading delays, warehouse overflow, and logistical congestion in the Lingding Channel area of the Pearl River Estuary. Some ships may be rerouted to other ports, leading to delays in delivery times.
